Picosure pigmentation removal treatment can take anywhere from 15-30 minutes depending on the size of the area being treated. The treatment is quick and simple, and you can return to your daily activities immediately after treatment.

Does this treatment hurt?

Picosure laser treatments are not painful. The feeling is akin to a rubber banding snapping against the skin. The sensation is very tolerable and the treatment is quick and simple. To help reduce discomfort, cool air is blown during the treatment to soothe the skin.

How many sessions and how often will I need?

3-5 sessions are recommended for maximum results. The sessions are spaced out with one session per month. During this journey, clients are recommended to use facial masks to keep skin hydrated.

Is there any downtime?

How does Picosure Pigmentation Removal work?

Under the hood, the Picosure laser is light years ahead of the competition. The machine operates by creating a photomechanical impact in one-trillionth of a second at wavelengths of 532nm, 755nm and 1064nm. These are the ideal wavelengths for treating skin pigment conditions. The laser can further be customised by adjusting the spot-size from 2-6mm, 8mm to 10mm, or by adding a focus lens array. This means the treatment can be tailored to your unique skin type and requirements.

A typical Picosure treatment typically involves having the patient lie down while wearing a protective eye shield. The Picosure laser will then be applied to the respective treatment area. To minimise discomfort, a Zimmer cooling unit will supplement the treatment by blowing cool air while operating the laser. Once the treatment is complete, a cooling mask will be applied to help soothe the skin.
